What to do when you can't find a price match for your razor

Use this unbelievably easy trick to keeping your favorite, expensive, oh-so-hard-to-price-match razor sharp as new.

How it's done
When it starts to become dull, you simply stroke the razor backward, up the outside of your forearm (so you are not shaving the hair off) 10 times, and voila! That's it! The hair on your arm straightens the imperfections on the razor's edge, the same way a knife sharpener actually just straightens the edge of your kitchen knives.

Too simple? It works!
I couldn't believe at first--it sounded too simple, but it's really true. I have been using the same double-blade razor for about 3 5 months now, when I usually toss them after three weeks. My husband uses the same trick with his 5-blade, and it works every time! This article from Lifehacker shows a how-to video of a man who has used the same razor for 22 months!

What this trick won't do
1. It won't keep your blades from rusting. Shaking the extra water out, drying it off, or setting it where it won't get wet can help.
2. It won't do anything for the aloe strip. I know some really love the built in moisturizers that come with a new razor, and this won't help with that.
3. It won't make the hair on your forearm grow back faster if you sharpen your razor the wrong direction!

Try it! You've got nothing to lose but a trashcan full of dull razors!
