Yesterday, my checker at the Loop 288 store in Denton told me that will no longer price match to HEB or Aldi. They are both technically outside their 15-mile price matching radius, so they're perfectly within their rights, but it's still disappointing.
She explained that a manager had been training all of the employees to ask if any of a customer's items were to be price matched to these stores. Still, I could have gotten away with it. I could have just not told her which items were for Aldi and just told her the price--she was a pretty cooperative gal--but saving $3 on 2 cantaloupes just wasn't worth the lingering guilt that I would have felt.
For Denton shoppers, the Walmart at Razor Ranch hasn't made stiff policies about their radius yet (and each store can choose how far their radius for price matching will extend) and has no problem with price matching oranges from the "Mexican Marts," so I'll probably shop there for a while.
Just passing on what I know, and crossing fingers that it doesn't get too much more stiff!
